Hello everyone!
My name is CF. Today we will have a walking tour from Buangkok to Hougang Green Shopping Mall, which is located in the North-East Region of Singapore ????????.

Singapore is currently under COVID Restrictions Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) which is in effect from Sunday, 16 May 2021 through to Sunday, 13 June 2021.

Some of the additional measures and restrictions include:
- Group sizes up to 2 pax
- Up to 2 unique household visitors a day
- 2 social gatherings per day, whether to another household or in a public place
- Work-from-home as the default
- Dining-in to cease, Only takeaway and delivery allowed

We will start the walk from Buangkok station, passing by the neighborhood then we will make our way to Hougang Green Shopping Mall which is a small neighborhood mall that has an outlet of the popular Arnold’s Fried Chicken!

Buangkok is a neighbourhood located in north eastern Singapore. Whilst its boundaries are vague, the neighbourhood is roughly spread across the Trafalgar and Compassvale subzones of the Hougang and Sengkang Planning Areas respectively, as designated by the URA.
The namesake road Lorong Buangkok was named Buangkok, meaning "united countries", after the rubber plantation company Singapore United Rubber Plantations Limited's Chinese name "Multi Nations" (万国) in Teochew. In 1967, a track off Lorong Buangkok was named Lorong Buangkok Kechil.

Hougang is the pinyin version of Aū-káng, a Hokkien and Teochew name meaning "river end", as Hougang is located upstream or at the back of Sungei Serangoon. In the past, the name connoted the area stretching from the fifth milestone junction of Upper Serangoon Road and Upper Paya Lebar Road/Boundary Road to the seventh and a half milestone junction of Upper Serangoon Road and Punggol Road. The area just beyond the seventh milestone along Punggol Road was formerly considered part of Punggol but is now within Hougang Town and that section of Punggol Road is now Hougang Avenue 8, with Punggol Road starting further north.
