MV Filipinas Cebu of Cokaliong Shipping Lines, Inc., was stuck in Loculan Shoal, some 1.5 nautical miles east of the coastal village of San Antonio in Ozamiz City at around 6 p.m.
The vessel came from Iligan City en route to Ozamiz to load passengers and cargo before proceeding to Cebu City.
85 passengers were evacuated to Ozamis Port where they were given meals and medical help.
This is the vessel's second grounding incident in 8 months as she was also involved in a similar incident off an island in Iloilo in August of last year
