SM Baliwag to Pulilan-Baliuag Bypass Road is now open to public!

Riding up north, if you're coming from Manila or south of it, it is a considerable task not because of the distance, but because of the motorcycle riders. Particularly those who cannot enter the expressways due to the displacement limits, you have to endure the Maharlika Highway's busy and often dangerous intersections. For the past few years, the Philippine government started building diversion roads to speed up the travel time of motorists by diverting traffic out of the town centers along Maharlika Highway.
Today, traveling up north is made a bit easier thanks to DPWH as they opened another bypass road connecting the towns of Pulilan and Baliuag Bulacan. The four-lane Pulilan – Baliuag Diversion Road which was constructed with the total amount of P509 Million will shorten the travel time between the towns of Baliuag and Pulilan or vice versa from 1 hour to just 30 minutes. What's good about this new road is the inclusion of bike lanes for faster, safer and pleasant travel experience not just for motorists but also to bikers and pedestrians. “The main goal is not only to provide vehicular infrastructure but to help conserve environment by promoting biking for transport and recreational use”, said DPWH Secretary Mark Villar.
The 9.6-kilometer bike friendly Pulilan – Baliuag Diversion Road begins at Pulilan-Calumpit Road in Barangay Tibag, Pulilan near the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and ends in Daang Maharlika in Barangay Tarcan, Baliuag, Bulacan, traversing several Pulilan Barangays.
